About Us

Owning a home is not easy. It’s expensive, there are a million things that can go wrong, and there’s a lot to learn. But I believe it’s worth it. Honestly, there are few things more fun than owning a home.

You have full control to change whatever you want. You can shape the space however you see fit. You are in control of everything, and there’s a beauty to that. There’s no landlord to stop you (although some HOAs can suck). But there are challenges associated with owning a home. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed if you know very little about that next project.

You have to figure out how it will cost, the details involved, who you are going to hire and if you can trust them, and so much more.

That’s why want to help other homeowners feel empowered to tackle that next renovation, whether it be installing new windows, fixing up their siding, or painting their home.

Usually, all it takes is the right information for the project to turn out perfectly.

Whether you choose to work with a contractor, or DIY the project yourself, we hope to put out useful information that allows you to make the best decisions for your home (and family).

Why I Created Perfect Neighbor

Perfect Neighbor was born out of my own desire to learn and my passion for helping others on their home improvement journeys. As a relative newcomer to the world of home projects, I understand the challenges and uncertainties that can come with tackling renovations. That’s why I decided to create this platform, where I can document my experiences, share what I’ve learned, and inspire fellow homeowners to embark on their own DIY adventures.

My Home Renovation Experience

Over the past year, I’ve taken on a variety of projects in my own home, including:

  • Installing new windows to improve energy efficiency and aesthetics.
  • Repairing siding to keep my home in tip-top shape.
  • Replacing old carpet with sleek vinyl flooring.
  • Giving my home a fresh coat of paint for a vibrant look.
  • Adding gutters for better drainage and protect my property.
  • Cleaning out the vents for better air quality.

While I may not be a seasoned pro, my hands-on experience has taught me valuable lessons that I’m excited to share with you.

The Vision for Perfect Neighbor

Perfect Neighbor is a work in progress, much like my own home. Currently, the blog focuses on gutters and windows, but my ultimate goal is to create a comprehensive resource for all things home-related. Whether you’re looking for advice on remodeling, maintenance tips, or inspiration for your next project, I want Perfect Neighbor to be your go-to destination.

Join me on this exciting journey of discovery, learning, and transforming houses into homes. Together, we’ll navigate the world of home renovation and improvement, one project at a time.

Thank you for visiting Perfect Neighbor, and I look forward to sharing this adventure with you!
